Savings to Fulfill a Higher Calling

Many large churches have physical plants as large and complex as those of two- and four-year colleges. For these institutions, energy costs are one of the largest budget items, with utility companies receiving dollars that could otherwise be deployed on educational programs, facilities upgrades and missional work.

Cenergistic has worked with large churches to implement energy conservation programs that enable them to fulfill their mission. The 24,000-member Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, achieved a remarkable 33.6% savings in utility costs in the very first year of its energy conservation program, a total of $908,000 in savings, and has gone on to save more than $6.4 million in less than six years.
